Expanding the Pesto Palette
How many ways can you have pesto with your pasta? The answer is nine. If you head over to Pesto Diva at the Winter Park Farmers' Market, there's pesto with artichokes and cashews; with roasted sweet red peppers and toasted almonds; and with Spanish olives, habaneros and walnuts. There's even pistachio pesto, and tapanade pesto wth Greek olives and anchovies, plus other seasonal specialties. Owner Anna Marie Mele whips up these enticing concoctions. You can sample Anna Marie's sauces on Saturday mornings at the Winter Park Farmers' Market at New England and New York Avenues, in Winter Park, Florida, or at the Celebration Farmers' Market on Sunday, in Celebration, Florida.
